Direct and supervise the management of clinical programming and directly related activities on site. Will also function as a Nexus management team member with similar responsibilities across all sites.


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Director to work within a residential treatment facility for youth who have emotional and behavior disorders. Responsibilities include directing and supervising the management of multiple treatment programs within the Academy; ensuring compliance with internal and external policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; participating in the on-going selection, interviewing, evaluation and performance management of staff; participating in staffing; participating in budget development and monitoring of clinical budget; monitoring, investigating and responding to issues around referrals, intakes and discharges; supervising compliance with the clinical aspects of purchase of service agreements; and directing the development and ongoing enhancements of individual treatment units consistent with Nexus treatment philosophies.


Requires Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or a closely related discipline. Also requires a minimum of 5 years direct clinical experience in a related field, preferably in a residential setting, and a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience. Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Independent Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist preferred. Position requires the ability to work a flexible work schedule. Must also possess a valid Minnesota driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and pass the corporate eligibility standards . Must be able to assist staff in proper restraining of residents, be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100+ pounds with assistance, and be able to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within a residential program.
